Choosing such a weak little crybaby Ralts as her starter, giving them their name, tolerating their rebellious phase as a Kirlia, and letting them decide between becoming a Gardevoir or a Gallade--there is no one, Pokemon or human, Anya cares more for in the world. They care about her more than the world itself. They care for her in ways they can never admit to.
That is why it breaks their heart Hilda keeps herself so closed off. Yes, Anya would be lying if they said they did not enjoy having their master all to themself, but the empath knows it is not good. Which is why they are particularly disappointed this morning; they nudged Hilda into accepting Caitlin's offer to borrow her villa while Cynthia is not using it, thinking a vacation at the beach would get their master out of her shell. Instead, three days in, and Hilda s still keeping to herself. At least the is going to the beach now and again or sunbathing in the privacy behind the villa, but...
Maybe Anya's fantasies got the better of them. Too many romcoms, soap operas, and romantic novels. They thought imitating a newlywed honeymoon would be what would cheer the girl up enough to break her out of her sullen disposition. Maybe there is only so much Anya can do as a male Gardevoir, rather than a male human...
Third day into the vacation and Hilda is sleeping in much too late. A total waste of daylight. Breakfast is getting cold. Floating into Hilda's bedroom, Anya towers over the human in her bed. The way the alpha has to hunch over to fit inside the building would look ominous to anyone unfamiliar with the two of them. What is not ominous is the frilly apron they are wearing, because Anya is nothing if not an impeccable malewife.
They brush hair from Hilda's face with a massive finger and looks longingly at their beloved master.
And immediately uses their power to will Hilda's xtransceiver to set off an alarm at full volume. Because they worked hard on breakfast and is not going to let HIlda sleep through it.]

BACKGROUND
Originally from Sinnoh, specifically Canalave City. As a child they were weak even by Ralts standards, so they sought shelter out of the wilds in the Canalave Library, where they eventually learned to read and read a lot of books in secret. This taught them a lot about the world, but certain things (romance stories, fairy tales) skewed their perception of humans.
Growing up as a 'wild' Pokemon but not in the wild, they never felt they belonged. They had no interest in the wild and wished to become part of human society, but as a person, not a Pokemon. Being caught and trained did not appeal to them. Unfortunately, that is easier said than done.
Eventually, upon becoming a Gardevoir, they had a growth spurt and became an alpha, ending up as tall and strong as they were small and weak as a Ralts. This had the downside of making it more difficult to sneak around humans without having to constantly utilize their psychic powers. It also had the downside of making their empathic powers so strong that the cacophony of human thoughts were troublesome, especially the ones directed towards them.
Eventually, they leave the city and go into the wild, but inadvertently domesticating themselves made this difficult. They eventually found an abandoned cabin to make into their new home, acting more like a human than a Pokemon even when alone.
